Clinical Analysis of the Surgical Biliary Tract Disease

Abstract
The clinical evaluation was performed on the 102 cases of surgical biliary tract patients who treated surgically from Aug. 1972 to July 1975 for 3 years at Dept. of General Surgery College of Medicine Han-Yang Univ.
As the results of this study, the following were abstained.
1. In the distribution of age, about 56% was in the age from 40 to 60, and the average age was 46.9 year.
2. Male to female ratio was 1: 1. 3.
3. The prominent symptoms were pain in RUO (78.9%) and intermittent colicky pain (92.6%).
4. In X-ray examinations, 3 cases (18.8%) of 16 cases by oral cholecystogram, 7 cases
(38:9%) of 18 cases by IN. cholangiogram, stones were detectable and 34 cases :(60.7%) of 56 cases by operative. cholangiogram revealed abnormal findings.
5. In 60cases of calculus biliary tract disease, locations of stone were 38 cases (63.4%) in Gall bladder, 8 cases, (13.3%) in common biliary duct, 5 cases (8.3%) in gall bladder and common biliary, duct and 2 cases (1.98%) in hepatic duct.
6. The operation type were 32-cases (31.4%) of cholecystectomy c choledochostomy, 19 cases (18.6%) of cholecystectomy only, 18 cases (17.6%) of cholecystostomy and 4 cases (3.9%) of choledochojejunostomy (Roux-en-Y).
7. The wound infection was the most common among the postoperative complication (20. 6%), and the mortality rate after operation was 4.9%.
